This program was operated on a limited basis in Lorain County, Ohio in 1997. Per statute, this service is provided for first time offenders, and is selected by the Court. State Probation conducts the investigation report.

In 2006, a full time officer was assigned to this caseload. The length of stay on this program is at least one year. Besides monitoring the client’s substance abuse treatment, random urinalysis and paying their Court indebtness, the clients are subject to the same conditions of probation.
